As GLEE hits off with yet another spectacular new season on FOX, we are even more excited to announce that its lead star Matthew Morrison will be the special guest performer at the Benefit Dinner 2010 hosted by Hugh Jackman. A star of stage and screen, Matthew has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards.He currently stars in GLEE, Fox’s hit musical comedy series from Ryan Murphy. In the show, Matthew stars as Will Schuester, an optimistic high school teacher who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school’s glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential.He will next be releasing his debut solo album with Mercury Records in early 2011.Matthew studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts. His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit “Hairspray.” He was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in “The Light in the Piazza,” and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for “10 Million Miles.” He also starred in the Tony Winning revival of “South Pacific” at Lincoln Center Theater in New York.A California native, Matthew divides his time between Los Angeles and New York.Golden Globe Award-winner, GLEE boasts critical acclaim with an incredible 19 Emmy nominations
