Matthew Morrison goes out in disguise.

The 32-year-old actor is astonished by the level of attention he has received since he started appearing in US musical drama series 'Glee' as teacher Will Schuester and is doing what he can do maintain some privacy.

He said: "I have to wear a disguise now.

"Getting recognised was exciting for the first couple of weeks but now it's just a little too much at times.

"People always feel they know you, they think you are like the guy on the show."

Though 'Glee' has been a worldwide success, Matthew knows its popularity won't last but won't be in a hurry to find a new job as soon as he finally exits the show because it is so exhausting to film.

He added in an interview with Reveal: "This show will run its course, it will end some day. I know I'll have to find a new job at some point.

"If it all ended tomorrow I'd probably take a very long break. We are at a point where we are all so burnt out. It's such a production, do it's physically hard and I'm only getting four to five hours sleep right now."

1. He was in a boy band

Back in 2001, a 22-year-old Matthew - who we already know is fair of face, dulcet-toned and nimble-footed - decided his destiny lay in the world of all-singing, all-dancing, all-male music. The wannabe joined ill-fated boy band LMNT (pronounced 'element' by the initiated, but referred to as 'lament' by Matt himself) - although, unless you were one of their 12 fans, you wont remember this. "It was the worst year of my life," says Matt, "You know when you're a performer and you're out there on stage and you're embarrassed that you're doing something wrong. It was pretty bad."

2. He's making an album

It's no secret that Matt's been blessed with some pretty impressive vocal stylings, so we can't say we're surprised that, after the phenomenal success of the Glee soundtracks in the music charts, Mr. Morrison has recorded his debut solo album, set to hit shelves next month. "It's going to be different. I would consider it a classier Justin Timberlake album," he said. "It's going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats."


3. He was far from a geek at high school

As well as being a big nuts Jock, popular Matt was elected Prom King and President of his high school. We wonder if he ever threw a Slushy in a Gleek's direction…?

4. He's a big Ethan Hawke fan

The one star that Matthew would "drop everything to go see" is actor Ethan Hawke. In fact, Matt admits to watching the movie The Goonies about once a month.

5. He was a Broadway sensation

Pre-Glee, the all-singing, all-dancing Matt was a big hit on the boards. He starred in much-celebrated musicals South Pacific and Hairspray, and even received a Tony nomination for his role in The Light in the Piazza.

6. He's starred with a Friend

Matt made his movie debut in saucy comedy film Marci X opposite Lisa Kudrow - AKA Phoebe in Friends. Critics described the flick as "too thin for feature-length, while the jokes are socially outdated and clueless," Ouch. Sorry we missed that one…

7. He engaged in a junior 'ménage á trois'

"I was really sexual from an early age. My first kiss was actually with two girls at the same time. One girl would be behind the bush with me for a minute and the other girl would be timing us. Then they'd switch." What would Mr. Schu say?

8. He lost his virginity at 20

Despite his obvious pre-teen sexual prowess, Matt abstained from going all the way until he was 20. "My dad is a nurse midwife, one of about only 50 male midwives in the US, I think. So my birds-and-bees talk consisted of him bringing home books with pictures of all these sexually transmitted diseases. I was so scared of sex that I hated the first few times I had it. I felt awful, like I was really doing something bad." Thanks, Dad.

9. He was almost married

Matthew was engaged to US soap opera actress Chrishell Stause in 2007. But the All My Children starlet called time on their engagement just months before they were due to tie the knot, leaving Matt single and us allowed a spot of guilt-free swooning.

10. He's used to those gay rumours

"I grew up singing and dancing, so people have been calling me gay since fifth grade. I've heard everything you could possibly hear about it. But I do love gay people, so I'm not going to act like I was insulted or angry about it." For the record, Matthew is 100% straight.

The phenomenally successful musical series has attracted a slew of superstar guests, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears.

And Morrison, who plays Glee club leader Will Schuester, is hoping British actress Knightley will be the next famous face to sign up, so he can fulfil his fantasy of kissing her onscreen.

He tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "Oh God, I'm such a sucker for women with British accents. So many (potential guest stars) to choose from... actually I'll go with a Brit because I really like this girl - Keira Knightley. She should guest star in Glee. (She should play) the part of the girl who gets kissed by Will Schuester."
