PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is pleased to announce Glee star Matthew Morrison will join the 2012-2013 PNC Pops! Season as the opening weekend feature, celebrating Marvin Hamlisch’s 18th season as Principal Pops Conductor with the PSO.

Morrison, who has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards, will perform Broadway hits in addition to songs from his forthcoming “Broadway standards” record.

The concerts begin at 2:30 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29 and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.

2012-2013 PNC Pops! and Highmark Holiday Pops seven-concert subscriptions are currently on sale. Subscriptions range from $117.25 to $652.75, and can be purchased by calling 412.392.4900, or visiting pittsburghsymphony.org.
