‘Glee’s Matthew Morrison has collaborated with the legendary Sting on a remake of the Brit rocker’s ‘Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot’ for Morrison’s upcoming, self-titled debut studio album.’Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot’ follows Morrison’s first single ‘Summer Rain’ and is the classic rock ballad from Sting’s 1996 album ‘Mercury Falling.’ For Morrison, working with Sting was a major milestone in his young career as a solo artist. “I was fortunate to meet Sting two years ago at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. I have always been a massive fan of his and to meet him was incredible,” the Broadway-turned-TV-star reveals. “Now to have had the opportunity to sing with him on one of his greatest songs is a dream come true.”Other notable collaborations on Morrison’s album include duets with Elton John, a track penned by ‘American Idol’ winner Kris Allen and a reunion duet with ‘Glee’ guest star Gwyneth Paltrow.Morrison kicks of a 22-city, six-week US summer tour June 18 in Minneapolis. The album, ‘Matthew Morrison,’ is out Tuesday, May 10 — the same day as the premiere of his exclusive live performance and interview with AOL Music Sessions.
