The Kennedy Center Honors runs so late and so long that in recent years, the big question has been whether all the honorees will show up to the post-show dinner. (Bruce Springsteen, ahem, bailed out early last year.) But even most-important-people-in-the-universe Paul McCartney and Oprah Winfrey managed to take the time this year (along with fellow honorees Merle Haggard, Jerry Herman and Bill T. Jones) to dine in the Grand Foyer. The surprise reward for those who lingered really late, though — nearly 1 a.m. — was seeing “Glee” star Matthew Morrison seize the mike to join the afterparty’s Chicago Jazz Orchestra for a couple impromptu songs: First, the Dean Martin classic “Sway,” and then (in the video above) “The Street Where You Live” from “My Fair Lady.”SourceThe Gala will be broadcast on CBS on December 28, 2010 at 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT
